Tremaine De'Nard Young was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Though he now plays with Distilled Butter, he had a very humble musical beginning playing drums in church, The House of God, Keith Dominion, behind his grandmother Juanita Young, who was the church's organist. At the age of 14, Tre, began playing the lead/rhythm guitar also in church. Music quickly became one of the most important things in his young life. After graduation from high school, Tre auditioned for and was accepted into the prestigious Bethune Cookman University Concert Chorale under the leadership of Dr. Rebecca Walker Steel. At BCU, he was able to study and learn to appreciate different genres of music from Bach to Gospel, and also traveling and performing across the country with this chorale was preparing him for more than he knew at the time. After graduating with a degree in Business Management in 2004, Tremaine taught school until 2011 when he began doing music full time. He is currently the Music Director at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Hollywood, FL. He plays for and travels with Jon Saxx and Endless Possibilities (Jazz & RnB) and the Larry Dogg Band (Old Skool RnB). Tremaine has also performed and/or recorded with Helen Miller, Randy Corinthian, Connail Johnson, Joe Randall, Press Play, BJ Williams & Soulful Insight, Dwight Moment & Symphony, and the Alexander Sisters......and he has performed on the same ticket with the O'Jays, Mint Condition, Fantasia, Musiq Soulchild, Mary J Blidge, Robin Thyck, The Whispers, Babyface, Charlie Wilson, Patty Labelle, The Soul Seekers, Yolanda Adams, Crystal Aikin and many others. The title of his first project is called Rhythm & Gospel, and if you don't have it, you're missing out on something special.....
